fter getting positive nod from UCPN (Maoist) chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal, top leaders of Nepali Congress and CPN (UML) have initiated formation of the high level political mechanism.Prime Minister Madhav Kumar Nepal, Nepali Congress President Girija Prasad Koirala and UML Chairman Jhalanath Khanal held informal talks Friday morning for formation of such a mechanism. Maoist chairman Dahal, in his recent consultation with Koirala, had hinted at joining the mechanism if it is not meant for advising government of daily administration or taking important decisions but for broader objectives like peace process and writing constitution.
PM Nepal and chairman Khanal had reached Koirala's residence in Maharajgunj to discuss the issue. The leaders have agreed for a joint meeting of the top leaders of three big parties at the earliest to give impetus to formation of the mechanism, which is likely to be led by Koirala.
